Benefits when applying Lean IT into your business

As we can see Lean IT can revolutionize the way in which company processes are done in companies, so now it will be explained benefits for companies which apply this type of method:

  • Cost reduction: Maximizing profits is what lean management is all about. Lean practices actually help companies to decrease cost, this could lead to an increase in profits as all savings can be added. Companies can make an effort to reduce these costs even though the selling price depends on some factors such as product qualities or markets.
  • Better customer service and interaction: Lean management starts with the customer’s point of view in mind. How they communicate with staff, how they respond to their problems and their experience with the product are what reduce wasteful practices. If customer surveys are not going well, leaders should pay attention to what the company stands to lose.
  • “Push and pull”: Company expenses can increase if leaders do not pay attention to inventory. One strategy that can overcome this problem is to have a “pull” rather than a “push” mentality. This means that downstream production processes determine what happens in upstream production processes. This can help companies prevent the problem of overproduction and paying high costs. Companies will only order what they need.
  • Quality improvement: Lean management is also about taking care of the details. The goal is not to have to make a product again and not to have defects. In this way, processes will be optimized so that no mistakes are made and workers will not have to spend time tinkering. The money saved could be used to increase wages.
  • Culture improvement: When a company understands the importance of lean management and starts to implement strategies, then new thinking begins to cover the company. Employees are more open to improvement and are constantly looking for ways to improve themselves and their careers. Bringing teams into lean management will create a good working culture.
  • Increased employee morale: Since lean management favors an approach between workers and managers to talk about their work and the overall process the company is following, workers feel more empowered to make decisions. They know where they are, where they can improve, and how to improve the quality of their work.
